I am always humbled and so appreciative of feedback provided by clients, students, and interns.
It makes the work I do meaningful!
Lauren is an excellent nutritionist. Her care, compassion, tenderness, along with her professionalism and knowledge got us through the most difficult and challenging times during our daughter’s recovery process. We could not have done this without her and we are so blessed to have had such a phenomenal provider like her. Our angel in disguise.

My time with Lauren was so much more than I expected, in the best way possible. Prior to working with Lauren, I had never met with a registered dietician nutritionist. My (incorrect) expectations were that she’d give me a list of foods to try to incorporate, with specific amounts. Instead, the sessions were exactly what I didn’t even realize I needed.
In addition to asking me about my eating habits, Lauren also asked me to share about my daily habits surrounding my personal life, raising a new baby (now toddler), and how I run my business from home. And during our discussions, we also dove much deeper into my relationship with myself and how food plays a role in that relationship.
I did not expect to learn this much about myself, and how to prioritize my own needs (i.e. nutrition needs) so that I can be a better mom and business owner. Lauren helped me understand that being well is not about getting the “correct” amount of grams of nutrients or setting rigid goals that may lead to self-doubt and an endless cycle of arbitrary goal setting. Through working with her, I learned that if I slow down a bit and listen to my body, I can better be aware of hunger cues; I can choose small ways of eating the foods I want to eat to feel my best and happiest self (it doesn’t have to be a lavish recipe), and that choosing to take care of my body in simple, intuitive ways is an important act of self-love.
Lauren hosted a few nutrition sessions for our girls hockey team, and she was phenomenal. Her presentations are really engaging (whether in person or virtual), and she does a great job of explaining everything so that girls from 10 to 19 can understand. She’s always welcome back to speak to our girls!

Lauren’s presentation was professional, enthusiastic, and filled with key insightful information. Our athletes were fully engaged and participated in the discussion regarding nutrition and their athletics. I had several parents email me as well with how impressed they were with her lectures. They are looking forward to trying the recipes she left with them. Thank you!!!

Lauren is incredibly warm, thoughtful, and easy to speak with. She was very open and authentic in answering all of my questions and sharing more in-depth about her own experience. During our conversation, she was very supportive and empathetic of my concerns about coming from an alternative (non-nutrition) background, and I left feeling extra inspired to pursue my goals.

Among all of my experiences in my dietetic internship, my time working with Lauren stuck with me the most. Her openness, honesty, and humility about her professional experience makes her an exemplary preceptor and role model. Because of her guidance and encouragement, I gained the confidence I needed to reach for what I now know that I am capable of. I am thankful for all that she did to be a positive influence on my professional and personal development.

I was nervous to begin my ambulatory experience and felt unsure of my skills, but when it came time to step up and put on my “counseling cap”, Lauren offered encouragement and made me feel like I could do it. She made me feel comfortable to mess up, to struggle, knowing that I would learn along that way and that I would have her guidance to do better next time. Since my internship ended, she continues to offer encouragement and an understanding ear. She still embodies the title of an outstanding preceptor, long after being my preceptor.

I was lucky enough to find Lauren’s website during my initial search for graduate programs in nutrition. Not only was she incredibly open and friendly via email, but she graciously offered to meet with me in person, and helped me wade through the at times daunting process of applying to graduate school as a career-changer. Now, nearly 2 years later, I am halfway through my own coordinated program, and I still remember Lauren’s warmth and positive energy – I am so appreciative of her mentorship.

Lauren’s energy got me fueled for graduate school before it even started. I remember being super nervous before meeting her in person. That went away almost immediately. She was so warm, kind, empathetic – and above all else – authentic. She’s the kind of person that everyone respects but can approach.
